This was our second choice when the Old Swan Brewery failed to deliver the other night (see my comment). We were not made to feel unwelcome, in spite of our denim attire (smart casual as we thought we were dining next door). Service, food, ambience and view all superb although the prices suggest (for us) that this place will be reserved for special occasions.

My husband and I dined at Zafferano's on a Friday evening. The place was quite busy. However, considering the exhorbitant prices being charged, we did not expect to wait for over 20 minutes before being given a menu. And in the end had to ask for one. The young waiter pouring water could see that we did not have a menu, but obviously it was not in his job description to give us one!
When our mains came our side salad didn't and once again we had to ask for it and were half way through our meals when it was delivered.
The meals although quite nice were way overpriced and the chicken in orange sauce at $49 a dish was quite ordinary and not wothy of the price being asked.
The dessert trolley was impressive, however the tiramisu was once again quite basic.
When one is paying these sort of prices service should be faultless. On this particular night it was haphazard to say the least.
This is one restaurant I would not be returning to.
This place is not good value for money.

Overall this is way over priced for what it is. Generally I don't care about price if the food is really good, unfortunately it is not.

My pasta was full of raw garlic - really, really bad for $40+

The location is great - what a shame about the food
