I visited WFC for lunch with 3 friends. After sitting for 40 mins & being ingnored by staff, we finally flagged a waitress who told us to order at the counter. Rules of engagement are fine if you know them. That is indicative of the lack of service provided, waitresses basically run coffees & meals as they are ready. My meal - a grilled fillet of fish, arrived on time with all the others. It presented very well, but unfortunately, it had an "OFF" flavour, it had to be the worst piece of fish I have ever tasted. No one bothered to ask us how our meals were so no complaint was made. I believe my friends enjoyed their meals, however the memory of the "off" fish lingers and I would not return.

A group of four of us went to the Wild Fig last Friday night. We didn't have a booking so I suppose we were lucky to get a table on a Friday. It was 8.15pm and the waitress was incredibly rude when we arrived and told us she’d have to check when the kitchen was closing. I think it was more her attitude than anything she particularly said, she made us feel unwelcome. I have honestly never experienced service as bad as hers. The food was actually very nice (beetroot cured salmon and veal rib eyes’ were ordered) when it arrived and the atmosphere is good (with live music on Friday nights) but I won’t return in case I encounter that waitress again.
