W hilst the service and atmosphere at Wagamama are fine the food is not. I had been recommended against going by three different people and thought I had to give it a try for myself as generally it reviews well.

What a huge disappointment. The edamame were great and the juices also, things were looking good to start. However my friends soup came out and as she loves London Wagamama I was surprised at her unenthusiastic response to her favourite dish.
I received my noodle dish with prawns and tofu and we both commented on how lovely it looked. Then I ate it. The two prawns (of which I have bought better quality at coles) were not quite right and the dish overall had no flavour. Even the fried peanuts were tasteless and the chunks of fried leek were the only discernable food besides noodles.

We both trudged through and I was hoping the takeaway I had ordered for my partner would maybe improve the situation. Well it didnt. The tasteless beef teriyaki was in a foil takeaway, half filled with lettuce, then rice and a little beef on top (the most expensive of the three dishes I might add, but after the prawns why was a I suprised). There was NO flavour to the beef and he tried to make me feel better by saying it wasnt that tough. When he proceeded to tackle some leftovers straight afer finishing, I knew how bad things were.

Well if it coudnt get any worse, it did. My friend texted me the next morning to report her food poisening and I am sad to say I was suffering the same fate.

On that note I cannot wait to save my pennies from not eating out in Perth for the next month and putting them towards a foodie trip to Melbourne. Not only is the food affordable for a person not earning a Mining wage, but it is delicious, something Perth chefs seem to think they don't need to worry about when a cashed up society can spend everynight eating out.

This comment is obviously not driven from one bad night at Wagamama but a series of tasteless, overpriced and forgettable experiences over the last six months.

We tried Wagamama several times, we thought we would give it a chance as it seems to always be busy. But it always failed us in some way.
