he salmon salad was lovely as was the lasagne.
We also ordered the marinara. It was undoubtedly the worst marinara we've tasted. Dry, tasteless and even a mountain of parmesan and salt didn't help. Further the mussels were off. To cut a long story short I've tasted better ciggie butts. Altogether two bites was all the palate could take without needing a stomach pump.
We might have let the marinara fiasco go - however when we asked if it was possible to have the price discounted from the bill the French manager vehemently denied there was anything wrong with the food. Obviously if you start eating a $20+ dish and you take only two bites before giving up, there is something not quite right I would think. The manager's attitude really put a damper on the night and it could be a reason why Valentino's isn't as busy as it used to be.
All in all, the service from the waitress- I rate it 12 points out of ten, minus 10 from the manager bringing it to a grand total of 2 points.

I went to Valentino's tonight for dinner. The service was horrible! And the food was definately not up to par. The waiters were rude and abrupt, and everytime u asked them for something they looked at u as if u were troubling them. Makes u angry and uncomfortable at the same time. I had the lamb rack, and it was tasteless. I would never recommend Valentino's to my friends. And i am definately never setting my foot in there again! Valentino's - CLOSE DOWN! | ||

Oh, and did i mention that our main courses took 30 minutes to arrive? And when it did, they didn't even get it right! I asked for bacon to be left out of my dish but it wasn't so i had to send it back again. We had 3 dishes for entree and the waiter took 2 dishes away without asking if we were finished, and left the other entree dish on the table for 30 minutes. Poor poor service, bad manners. U can tell i'm very pissed off at their service as this is my second comment! | ||
