I
went out to dinner at the pony club in Mt lawley last week with a 'foodie' friend on holidays from Melbourne. We both thought the food was good and the place had a funky atmosphere and friendly waitstaff.
Only complaint was that the food was a little on the rich side and portion sizes a bit small for what you pay. That said, the stuffed dates were pretty hard to beat and the goats curd was some of the nicest i've tasted. We both thought the Cassolet was a little odd though with a strong bias towards tomato as oppossed to the more standard bean content??
Highlight of the night was the Sangria. Pricey again but the best I've had this side of San Sebastian!!
