T he Oyster Bar On The Beach (restaurant) relies on its location to attract most of its customers. It is set on the edge of Leighton beach in the sand dunes and the sunsets over the ocean can be stunning.
If you are not too concerned over the quality of your food it is an excellent location to spend a few hours on a nice warm day. There is a good selection of wines by the glass and bottle and cocktails to help pass the time with.
Hopefully as the restaurant evolves the quality of the food and its consistancy will improve as will the service levels.

We chose the Oyster Bar to have a special family dinner to celebrate my Grandma's arrival from overseas - it was a momentous occasion as she had made the journey and she is very old.Unfortunately this was to be anything but a special night. The service was terrible, the food was awful and over priced!!! I ordered the prawn and avocado salad which had about two prawns and absolutely no avocado. My mother ordered the chicken Ceasar salad without bacon and ended up getting Ceasar salad with bacon and absolultely no chicken. My Grandmother ordered the fish grilled it came battered. We made a complaint but still paid and left feeling like we had waisted our money and we were very discontent. Its such a shame because the setting is beautiful. This was anything but a special night......... drive through fast food would have been more pleasing.
