Q uite possibly the best Mexican restaurant in Perth. Firstly the food is great. The BEST I've had a restaurant for that sort of price. Not to mention to size of the servings. Great steak, perfect burritos. Always the first place we take visitors. Service is great. Makes it fun =). Atmosphere is good. Good music in the background, paintings and fish. Western environment. What more could you want!?

I've visited this restaurant several times in the past but after last Friday's visit, I doubt I'll ever go there again. The food was okay but the service was appalling for a number of reasons (too many to go into detail here). They really aren't kidding when they proclaim "good food, bad service and ugly waitresses" on the menu.

Ok - it was 42.9 degrees Sunday and no-one felt like cooking. We had seen that TGTB&TU did some sort of special deal on Sunday so we decided to give it a try.
We (wife, 4 kids and I) made a booking and drove on down.
We seemed to recall we had been before and wondered why we hadn't returned. Then we realised...
I ordered the Cisco, which I found pretty dull (and the fried taco thing was like cardboard) but at least mine was adequate.
The wife ordered the ribs. Her opinion was that the sauce was okay but the quality of the meat was terrible. I tried some and I thought it was tough and gristly. Her Mexican rice she found too hard and bland.
The kids meals were adequate. However, they do good chips.
So, we send back the ribs. Then when we leave we argue about whether we should be charged for the ribs. We eventually agreed to 50% off the price of the ribs.
I don't think we'll be back.
