e’ve been having some un-seasonal weather recently and we decided to head into Subiaco on this nice sunny winter day. It was my first time actually sitting down to eat at the Subiaco hotel, but I have heard many good things from lots of people. I ordered the Fish & Chips & my partner ordered the Green Vegetable Risotto with Tiger Prawns and a Basil Pesto. The fish and chips were excellent, but were definitely overshadowed by the prawns. I would have to say that the dish was absolutely perfect for the location and weather. We enjoyed our lunch outside on Hay St, while having a few middies of Heineken and watching the world go by. To the dismay of the farmers I hope this weather continues so we can enjoy more lunches like this.

Three of us dined at the Subi Hotel on Saturday night, before going to see Dame Edna at the Regal. We had three waitstaff attend to us throughout the evening and they were all very professional and asked us if we were going to the show, so we felt relaxed that our meal would arrive in plenty of time. Two of us ordered the slow cooked duck on a parsnip mash/puree and it was divine! The menus were very impressive and the wine list reasonably priced. Overall a very enjoyable experience and the restaurant was buzzing, even between 6pm - 8pm on a Sat. night.

I visited the Subi Hotel for lunch with a friend a few weeks ago after hearing it recommended by others.
