have been to Star Anise four times now. My first two visits were excellent- the food was of top standard and the service was spot on. My next two visits were not as successful. While the food standard remained very high the service standards were definately below par. On one occassion we failed despite repeated attempts to order wines with our main meal. When we took a group to the restuarnt we struggled to get food to our table witin a resonable amount of time and drinks service was very slow. Several times we had to approach the bar to get water for our guests.
Overall Star Anise is a very good quality restaurant. The food is some of the best you can find in Perth but the the service definately needs to pick up again.

After only two visits, I can safely say that Star Anise is my favourite fine dining restaurant in Perth. | ||
