S everino Garden Restaurant is at the quiet end of South Terrace in Fremantle, but just make sure you book well in advance, especially for a Saturday Night. Severino's is invariably busy and is popular with local Italian Families which surely has to be a good sign. We have visited Severino's a few times each year for some years and have yet to find fault with either the food or the service. They are welcoming and efficient without any haste. On Sunday we stuck to well tried favourites, Garlic Bread (amongst the best I have found), Fettucine Genberi and a Sefood Risotto. The Fettucine and Risotto were both well prepared and generous serves. As is often the case my wife just could not resist the Lemon Cheesecake, once again torn between that and the Mudcake. Both are equally good. Severino is BYO and if you happen to forget your wine, there is a bottle shop next door.

My boyfriend and I went to Severinos on a Saturday night. We'd just got comfortable at the table they'd seated us at, when they asked us to get up and move to a smaller table at the back of the restaurant. It was a slightly annoying beginning to the evening. The meals were pretty expensive, we settled on a pizza and garlic bread. Ordered at about 8:30, received our garlic bread at about 9, it was burnt.. Unfortunately after that they totally forgot about us. We waited, and waited, we assumed it was because they were so busy. At about 9:50 a waitress came over and was shocked to realise we hadnt eaten yet. She returned to say there'd been a mistake and our pizza was being cooked now. Needless to say we were very hungry and felt we should have been compensated with a little bread or salad to keep us going. The pizza was good when we finally got it, but I doubt we'll go back, there's a lot of good Italian restaurants in Freo, this place just didn't care for our service.

My husband and I visited Severino last chilly Friday night and found it not too busy and the atmosphere to be quite warm and welcoming. Staff were slow to take our order, but this...[more]
