W e visited The Seaview Hotel at 282 South Terrace Fremantle on Saturday 13th September. We arrived at 7pm to find the restaurant busy and it just got busier, so by the time we left, there was hardly a spare table. We shared Garlic Bread ($6) and Paprika Whitebait ($7) as entrees and both were well presented and generous serves. These were followed by a Steak Sandwich ($21) and a Seafood Paella ($32). The steak sandwich was petty fair but did have a few fairly chewy bits. Excellent chips. My seafood paella was more of a risotto but for all that was excellent with a generous amount of sefood. My wife couldn't resist the Sticky Banana Cake ($11.50) which she said was very good. Drinks prices are more than reasonable. The service was friendly and efficient and all the staff appeared to be well on top of their jobs. Don't go expecting a quite evening as there is a fair amount of noise that intrudes from the adjacent bars. Personally I see no value in the large screen TV (Fox Sports) in the corner, but I guess some people like it. To be fair the volume was turned well down. All in all a pretty good evening at a fair price.
