I wish I was Italian after the mouth watering experience i had last night. I wish I grew up eating this everyday, you can never have too much of the robustic earthy flavours of Italy.
The atmosphere is welcoming & homely, very much the same as the ROMA restaurant back in the day as I could imagine it would be cramped on the weekend. The first you see when you walk through the door is a huge woodfired oven, a must in any Italian restaurant.
Cost-definately value for money considering I had to take 1/4 of my plate home for lunch the next day as I was not willing to surrender what I couldnt fit in.
Service-Very warm and friendly and efficient.
The food was beautiful, full of all the right flavours, serves are huge, no entree required although they looked very appetising. The WoodFired Osso Bucco was definately up there with the best i have had, the meat was so tender it fell apart on the plate on my fork and again in my mouth and served with homemade gnocchi wich was just divine. The Fettucini Premavira was exactly what I expected it to be, yet again homemade pasta full of flavour plenty of chicken, bacon, snow peas, white sauce and a serving so big it could have served the two of us had we had an entree. Ruocco's will definately be seeing me again many of times..

I went to RUOCCO'S again last night to make sure that my previous review wasnt a one off great expierence. It was just as good! With everything from the service to the food and atmosphere. I decided to try out there garlic pizza for an entree as I have read that it is a must. It was! Kept very simple as it should be, the ingredients were very fresh and natural tasting but I had to resist too much as I know the mains will mainly fll the whole of my plate. Out came my main of Capretto (Baby Goat) braised in there WoodFired Oven. This is the most tender lamb that I have encounted with. yet again cooked in there robust italian sauce resting on baked potatoes
