went to the Raffles the other night and I must say it sure did live up to my expectations.. First of all just let me say the decor and atmosphere is simply fantastic.. Nothing was overdone and the place is huge..!
While having a few drinks at the bar downstairs we decided to try some of the snacks, and they were really tasty. They were the Chicken satay sticks and the Polenta. The service was good, but could improve a little, which I'm sure they will in time.
We suddenly decided that we were actually hungry and decided to head to the restaurant upstairs for dinner. Since we were famished we skipped entrees. I ordered the Prawns and Garden Pea Risotto served with vintage Cheddar, while my friend ordered the chargrilled beef fillet served with polenta. We were very satisfied with the mains, however, it was the desert that really sealed the deal. We shared the creme brulee and the crepes, the latter being one of the best deserts I've had.
I would definitely return soon to sample other items on the menu. It's a fantastic place for a night out with friends for music and drinks.
