W e went to Pizza Bellaroma on Saturday night for a hen's night. The service was appaling. Our waitress was unbelievably rude and impatient, making us feel like we were wasting her time! She then proceeded to forget about a glass of wine we ordered, and a salad. The bill was brought out along with the food and shoved in our face. When we complained that the salad and wine had not been brought out, she demanded to double check the bill as if to say that she didn't believe that we'd ordered them in the first place!!! The food was OK once it came out, standard italian fare, but nothing to write home about. The $7 salad that eventually came out contained mainly iceberg and tomato. All this combined with being seated outside in the cold when we had booked made for a very unenjoyable evening. I won't be going back.

I have to agree with you Magda, I think Pizza Bellaroma has deteriorated in the past year or so. The service was shocking when we went there a month ago however in our case we felt the food made up for it. I definitely don't like being asked to pay before you eat either.

I often sit at Marconi Cafe (which is directly across the road from Pizza Bellaroma) and I think to my self "You silly people, it's only PIZZA for goodness sake. Why are you queueing up for pizza?". Admittedly, the food is good but nothing remarkable, and certainly not worth queueing up for.

I guess it's just a lowest common denominator thing...people who are not adventurous know what to expect from pizza. Personally though, if pizza's what you are after, then Sandrino's (around the corner) or even Madonna's (next door!!) would offer a better experience.
