A fter having booked a week in advance requesting a table for an intimate dinner with my partner, being seated by the entrance was the first thing to tarnish our experience. Although they were accommodating in changing our table.
The food despite it being okay it certainly didn't meet our expectations. Having to ask for a steak knife, only to be told by the waitress, that they don't normally give them out, but just this once. If the meat had've been cooked as we asked, then perhaps this might be true, unfortunately it was not the case. On the whole, we found it to be quite average (the views excluded) especially since this establishment came highly recommended.

Would have to agree with you Melanie.
We had dinner on the weekend with three other couples, food was okay..nothing outstanding but it seemed our waitress could not wait to get us out the door, she was clearing the table while we were still eating and after dinner we had to ask for some glasses back so we could finish our (extremely overpriced) wine. Wouldn't recommend this one.

I booked this restaurant for my partner's birthday - he is a microbrewing enthusiast and was keen to taste their beers. We ordered their OSB lager and were informed that they were not longer brewing their own beer and were offering another commercial beer in place of it. This was a big let down as both their web site and hard copy menus had not been changed (apparently they had not been a microbrewery for some time). I'm sure the food is great, as is the view but we decided that we were really only there for the beer and if that was not available we may as well dine next door at Zafferano (and pay double, on principle LOL)

Went for lunch yesterday and was totally underwhelmed by the whole experience. Poor table - despite other tables being unoccupied. Food was uninspired, very ordinary, bland - like basic 'pub fare'. Despite them assuring us prior to booking that they offered a range of vegetarian options, there were none on the menu and the only one offered to us was the lamb shanks pasta without the lambshanks in it - not the greatest. Service was really hopeless - slow, unattentive and unfriendly. None of the staff looked like they wanted to be there, and if was almost impossible to get anyone's attention. Staff couldn't remember what we'd ordered. We waited almost an hour for entree and fifteen minutes to pay the bill at the end - despite sullen-faced wait staff hanging around the place with seemingly little to do. One of my most disappointing restaurant experiences in recent times. I definitely wouldn't go back - even if it was completely free.
