Perth Food Review

H aving eaten on and off at The Dakao in this location for the past 15 years, we were curious as to what was happening when the doors closed and serious renno's were taking place. We couldn't believe our eyes when we walked through the door last Saturday night (with 2 friends in tow) to not only see the hip Thai/modern interior, but to see Mei daughter of Mrs Li the previous owner. Mei and her husband are running Naam Thai and were responsible for the makeover.

Although we only intended sharing mains, we were encouraged to try the "Galloping Horses" entree. It was simply amazing; a taste sensation......small pieces of mandarin and apple, topped with thai minced beef.

We were also recommended to include the Duck in Red Curry Sauce in our choice of mains, which we did along with Pad Thai, the bean curd and a salmon and scallop dish. They were all excellent - the duck was one of the best dishes I have ever tasted, just fantastic!

The service was excellent, we were offered sparkling and tap water. The waiter kept returning to our table and poured our BYO wine. The double layered white linen table cloths, quality cutlery and china really set off the classy decor.

Top spot! Can't recommend it highly enough. We won't leave it to chance to find a table next time; we'll book!
