Perth Food Review

M editerraneo café is located under the same roof as Oceanus and operated by the same people. We had wanted to eat at the better know half of the establishment but unfortunately lunch was no longer being served so we headed next door.

The service is fine for café style dining. Our drinks order was taken fairly promptly although they did take a long time to arrive (just before our food). My friend ordered a cheeseburger and that’s exactly what he got, with a striking resemblance to the Macdonalds variety this was served with chips. I was surprised that it didn’t come with any salad at all, either in the burger or on the side. I had chilli mussels that were in a really great sauce. Unfortunately they were seriously stingy on the muscles, I was left wanting a lot more. The bread that was served with the mussels felt like it had been sitting around all day and was served without any butter. At $12.50 we left thinking that you could get better elsewhere. On the upside though the beach side location and view are stunning.
