Perth Food Review

M y husband and I went to Kelly's for Sunday lunch after hearing about it from several people and also reading the rather generous review on this site.

The menu was small but covered most requirements - veg, beef, chicken, fish, salads etc. Mostly typical cafe' food. I had a vegetable frittata and my husband had a steak sandwich. Both were served with salad and fries or wedges. We were very impressed with the food, in fact my husband said it was the best steak sandwich he has ever had. The quality of the meat was excellent, it was cooked as he asked (often a problem when you want rare)and included bacon and egg amongst the generous salad. The frittata was also excellent and was jam-packed with substantial vegies. The wedges were real wedges - pieces of potato, not pockets of air dipped in Cajun/BBQ spices.

The service was friendly and very prompt but a little amateurish, hence the rating of 6 for service.

The atmosphere was relaxing, especially if you get a table outside, inside it really did feel like we were dining in a nursery.

We will definitely return.
