Perth Food Review

W e went to Kappy's as a family for a birthday dinner. I booked for enough people, and we arrived on time, but I had forgotten to tell them we would be bringing children, a 7year old, 2 year old, and six month old (although catered for in seating)

When we got there I apologised for not letting them know we were bringing children with us, and the waitress made quite a deal about letting them know in future if we were bringing children

We proceeded to have quite a nice meal, however this same waitress
was rude to us all night.

Upon leaving I walked past this lady on the way out and said to her "your service tonight has been..." and she cut me off mid sentence and started screaming at me like a banchee in the middle of the restaurant that our children had been screaming for 2 and a half hours, and who was I to complain, they'd had people leave because of us.

Our children did not scream all night, and the restaurant was packed, I saw no one leave on our account. The 7yr old was quiet all night, making normal conversation, 6mth old grizzled a little early and then was taken for a walk away from everyone, then slept through dinner, and was picked up and settled as soon as he woke up again, 2yr old was a little grizzly, but was taken for walks and entertained hrough most of the evening to keep him quiet.

While this woman continued to scream at me I asked her to lower her voice, she continued to scream and asked me to never return.

While packing our car out the back with pram, baby etc, the restaurant rear door was slammed.

By this stage I was quite distressed. I decided to ring the owner when I got home, when I rang, he could be heard in the background saying "it's probably that woman you kicked out earlier" When he came to the phone I informed that I was not kicked out, I was leaving, and that I was appalled at the way I had been treated.

This man was extremely rude, and again claimed that our children had screamed for 2 and a half hours (they had not!) I advised that regardless of this, there was no need for me to be screamed at, they could have come and spoken to us, he then asked if I was stupid, I should have known and just left.

I told him I was terribly disappointed as they had been highly recommended by friends, he cut me off, and told me "darling do me a favour and don't come back, and tell your friends not to come back too' then hung the phone up in my ear.

I am still astounded by their behaviour and believe that if they had a problem with us having children there, they could have dealt with it in a much more professional manner.

I have never in my life come across anything quite like it, I have since read other reviews where similar complaints have been made about this restaurant. I suggest you stay away.
