ent to Harvest today for the first time. The venue is wonderful and we were sat at a lovely old table with bench seats and cushions...very comfortable. The menu was delivered and everything sounded very appetising.
That was when everything started to go downhill. My Father-in-law had ordered the full breakfast but had asked for his eggs to be well-cooked. When they arrived they were really 'sloppy' he asked for the eggs to be cooked some more. The waitress went back to the kitchen only to return seconds later saying that was how the chef cooked them and that was it! I had a small child with me who couldn't eat underdone eggs so I asked if I could have the breakfast without any eggs at all and was told this wasn't possible! The breakfast came with eggs and we would just have to eat around them!
They have no flexibility at all when it comes to food. If you like your food the way the chef cooks it then you'll be fine. If you don't you'll be very disappointed.
A sign in the back of the restaurant summed it all up....
'Sit down, shut up & eat!' We will not be going back :(
