his place is a little gem.
We arrived for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon, but there was still a few people still there.
The menu was more like a restaurant's than a cafe and being vegetarian, I found I was well-catered for (no sign of the ubiquitous and totally unoriginal "Mediterranean Stack".
We chose goats cheese brulee on spinach salad - which was a generous slice of cheese with a gorgeous burnt sugar coating. Great flavour contrasts here.
The other dish was veg quiche on salad - sounds plain but it wasn't. Obviously homemade, these dishes were all beuatifully presented and garnished. The servings were not huge - so this place is about quality not quantity.
Afterwards, you can browse around the deli which has some enticing gourmet foods. I really like this place. If the other cafes on George Street were open on Sat I may not have found it.
