ent to a little place in East Fremantle last night called the George Street Bistro and it was terrific. The tables were well spaced and elegantly laid. We were greated in a very warm manner and shown promptly to our table. The place is licensed and BYO so we had a couple of G+ts while the waiter decanted the red that we had brought with us. The menu read really well and you could tell there was a european in the kitchen. (the owners are German) I had Vitello Tonnata for entree and my partner had some interesting curry and chickpea pancakes both were sensational. For mains I has roast duck which the waiter said was a house speciality and would go well with our wine (we had brought a nice pinot so top marks for the waitstaff)and my partner had the roast pork collar. Both were rich, balanaced and terrific. We couldn't mangage sweets but had a couple of first rate short blacks. Service was very warm, knoweledgeable and attentive.
Very Good.

I thought George Street was wonderful - fresh, homemade, beautifully presented food. Staff were excellent. Great deli to browse in afterwards. I love this place and will definitely return. Quality not quantity here. | ||
