A night out at Duende in Leederville last month was a really great experience. It was our first time there and we knew as soon as we walked in that we were going to love the place. The two guys on the floor were fantastic and the Sidra (Spanish cider) was a brilliant find. The whole restaurant gives you a feeling of being transported to a spanish tapas bar - really!
To be honest, the food was just 'good' as oppossed to great but the whole ambiance made up for it. I have heard people complain that the prices are a bit high but I reckon it's worth it. While there are obviously slicker and funkier restaurants in Perth, this one makes for a damn good night out - the complete package.
