W e had heard some good reports of Bluewater Grill so we decided to have a bit of lunch there seeing as we were in the area. The service was very good when we walked in they set us a table promptly, showed us to it and immediately got us drinks although towards the end of the meal it did seem to drop off as they were setting up for dinner.

We were quite surprised that the menu was so reasonably priced, $17 - $25 for mains and given the stunning view I think it's great value. The food didn’t disappoint. I had Beer Battered Fish and Chips which was so light and crispy and served with tartare sauce, side salad and pickled onions was probably the best I can remember eating. My partner had Oysters Kilpatrick and 'Fries with Eyes' - whitebait with aioli. He was equally impressed with his food. For desert we shared the Caramelised Apple Tart with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. This was freshly cooked on a puff pastry base and drizzled with hot caramel sauce a very good choice for desert.

Blue Water Grill lived up to its reputation, we will be going back.

We were always going to return, and we picked a fantastic day to do so. The weather was great, and the view was stunning.

For entrée three of us shared some oysters Kilpatrick. The oysters were pretty good, except for a little bit of shell that had come off into the meat.

For mains we ordered two from the specials menu, and the whole baby barramundi. The fish was cooked perfectly and was easily pulled away from the bone and was extremely tasty. It was served with asparagus that had been drizzled with lemon juice, which really livened it up. I ordered the Ribeye Steak which was massive. A 450g steak sitting on top of some garlic mashed potatoes, and smeared with coarse grain mustard. I didn’t think I was going to get though it, but I managed and still had room for desert! It was cooked perfectly, and was thoroughly enjoyed. The other main course was the Belly Pork that was served with Bok Choy and Mushrooms in a beef reduction. It was a really rich and tasty dish.

For desert I had the caramelised apple tart which was amazing, it was really delicious and presented well. The other two had the honey and saffron brulee. This was also amazingly good. They could not stop raving about it.

Overall a very pleasant lunch, and will definitely be returning soon.

Researched internet to find a really nice place to take guests from Interstate to. The views were fantastic, the service was good, food was enjoyable - its a little expensive, but accept that for the view you have to pay the price.

Unfortunately, very soon after arriving so did a table of six which included two feral children, who from the very start, screamed, screeched, banged cutlery on the table - all totally ignored by the parents and grandparents. After this went on for some time, we complained to two different staff members - but neither said anything to the parents. Again we complained when we paid the bill as the behaviour did not stop the whole time they were there. We were told yes they were really noisy - no apology. Considering this is not MacDonalds, Pizza Hut or Sizzlers where you would expect this sort of behaviour - not at a Restaurant that you end up paying $60.00 a head. It ruined the whole night as one of our guests has to wear a hearing aid and had to turn it off due to the volume with the screaming - conversation was barely possible for the night.

We phoned the Manager, Caleb the next night about this and were told that he can't control his guests, it is up to the parents. Whilst he apologised he wouldn't accept that it was the establishment's responsibility to ensure that the bad behaviour of these children didn't impact on his other guests who should be allowed to enjoy an evening out.

Guests should be aware that should they be unfortunate to encounter what we did - it seems that management will not do anything.
