A fter a hot summers day we decided that dinner by the beach would be a good idea, the usual suspects – Trigg Island Café etc were full and so we decided to give Bennion Street a try. Good decision; the service is very relaxed and friendly, the food fresh and tasty and there is a wafting breeze and view of the ocean. I would recommend the fish of the day which was pink snapper in my case and comes served with a potato rosti, citrus butter sauce and side salad for $23.95 which I thought was good value with two generous pieces of snapper. Also sampled were the very kindly portioned mushrooms with brie for entree and surf and turf for main which came with scallops and prawns. We liked Bennion Street and think it makes a good option for relaxed beach dining in the North.
