We had a big group (work social group) of twenty for Friday night dinner and had the set price $25 pp menu. My wife is Indian born, as is one of my workmates, and several of us are very familiar with Indian food, which is generally a disappointment out. However, the Bengal's food, service and friendliness made it a great evening. There was plenty of high quality, well presented Indian food, which was just the right amount of 'heat'; a little challenging for the uninitiated, but not daunting, and great for the majority who love spicy food. The staff were excellent, and it's big enough as a venue to take big and small groups, without being overcrowded. A very good spot for take away Indian food, a casual meal, or a group night out. Parking around there is plentiful too, which is a bonus in Freo.
