B ellisa Cafe in Walter Road Bedford has been a favorite Sunday breakfast stop for a while but today the service food and atmosphere wasn't up to scratch...

New young waiter hadn't had any training... placed food in the middle of the paper I was reading and didn't bring any butter with the sour dough toast which we both ordered.

Our usual table [have been most Sunday's for 12 months] was adorned with a RESERVED sign for someone who hadn't turned up when we left an hour later after we had to squeeze into a little cramped corner - dont eating houses get it - regular customers are "your bread and butter!"

Toast needs to be done on BOTH sides...

So, maybe it is time to start looking for a place that values our $50 a week....

MoondyneJoe, whilst respecting your comments about their lack of attention on this ONE occasion, could you consider that your one and only opportunity to review your favourite cafe perhaps have been a little more positive? Surely your last 12 months experience at this cafe does not constitute a score of 5.0 out of 10. I hope you spoke with the manager about this one experience so that next Sunday you'll get your $50 worth....at the same cafe. Usual regular customers usually have good hello-goodbye-lovely-weather type relationships with their local cafe's and this good relationship just gets better with good communication. Perhaps you could give the new staff member and the cafe a chance to train up first - rather than using this review as a chance to downgrade your favourite Sunday breakfast shop.
