T he Bellhouse Cafe situated on Mends Street Jetty in South Perth is a very nice looking, nautical themed cafe/restuarant. However, the service is in all escence of the word disgusting. And more so, the Manager, in my opinion, is the worst waitress and manager of the entire staff. My meal of Thai Green Curry was unusual, but absolutely delishes and offered something slightly different to the many seafood dishes on the menu. However, the service i recieved was terrible. The manager, treated me like I was a pest, and it was obvious that everyone in the restuarant was receiving the same poor service. She did not greet me, or smile at all throught the entire night, and was rude on many occasions. When i asked for her to top up my wine she rolled her eyes at me. When I immediately and polietely told her she shouldnt be rolling her eyes at customers she simply exclaimed "Whatever, I dont care" and walked off. Without the manager, this cafe/restuarant may be very nice and the service many accompany the wonderful, tasty meals. But until then, avoid this cafe, It will ruin your night, thans to this one woman.

This is an amazing location for a restaurant run by people who have no concept of service. We went for breakfast. The food was mediocre and the menu extremely limited. The staff did their best to ignore us and were not happy when called upon to provide water for the table. A very disappointing breakfast in a beautiful location!

Well the manager has obviously changed since crochl's visit - it has been a male manager on my two visits (in June and August 2008) but there are still issues with the manager and service staff.
I felt as though the manager thought I was a burden to him on my various dealings with him (seeking a table, chasing up on an order, paying my bill).
The waitress who attended me (on both occassions) couldn't have been nicer; but she had no idea of what can seriously tick a patron off - eg. showing you to a table and then letting you sit there for 10 minutes before offering water or taking at least the drink's order.
Serious training is needed for the serving staff, and probably a personality transplant for the manager.
And the food - no complaints at all, except for the wait!
