ar One is an Italian bar/cafe/restaurant in the QV1 precinct that is perfect for a meal (breakfast or lunch), coffee or a few drinks with a snack. The classy decor and food, along with friendly service, ensures that this place is almost always busy. As I work in the vicinity, myself and colleagues freqent Bar One on a regular basis. The coffee is outstanding and worth waiting for (the morning/afternoon tea rush can sometimes result in delays). The food is creative, both in presentation and taste combinations, without being overly pretentious.
There are daily specials that typically include a fish, a meat, a pasta and a risotto and I have been told by fellow diners that the Lasange (which is apparently made by the owner's mother and is a weekly special) is fantastic. On the regular lunch menu high praises have gone to the oysters, gnocchi, antipasti platter and the arancini balls (which are part of the after 4pm menu). Like many sucessful establishments in the perth area, they serve Lawley's bread and the Ciabatta served with Dandaragan olive oil is a popular accompaniment.

Dined here with a group on Friday. Great service and can now also recommend the beef carpaccio with truffle oil, parmesan and capers as well as the wild mushroom ravioli in a porcini broth (this is a special that occasionally appears on a Friday). | ||
