G reat for a quick and moderately priced meal. The eggplant with miso sauce starter is amazing and vegetarians are well catered for with a variety of Tofu dishes on the menu. Another dish worth mentioning is the seared salmon fillet wrapped in green tea noodles, served with a ponzu sauce and sweet potato mash. I happen to be dining out in Leederville frequently of late - there is a good variety of cuisines - its the Cinnamon Club tonight so expect a review soon.

Unfortunately Banzai is closed for renovations "until further notice" according to the note on their door. I hope the closure is not permanent and will keep checking for signs of life.

In Banzai's absence if you are craving some great value Japanese try Edo in Subiaco. I am hooked on the Sashimi bento!

Although Banzai has re-opened it seems that the only renovations that have been done are to the menu. The dishes that made it distinctive are no longer available and the quality of service has definitely decreased. Three of us dining received our meals 10 minutes apart and the water we requested twice did not arrive. The vegetarian dishes were particularly dissapointing and it seems that the flair and innovation in the previous manu has been replaced by run-of-the-mill Japanese that can be found anywhere. Tsunami is your best bet for outstanding Japanese :(
