W e dined at Bangles last week. Unimpressive. The restaurant has no toilets and patrons, such as myself are given mud-map instructions such as 'go down the path, past the gym - look for a fire hydrant and then go in to the cream door'. There were at least 3 fire hydrants, four unmarked cream doors and all were locked!! The owner had somehow forgotten to mention the necessity for a key as well!! And then there is the food. Tasty enough, well priced and reasonably portioned, but do not order anything BEEF. What we got was a stretch of the definition (and expectation)of what constitutes beef in a restaurant. Our dish had approx 10 pieces of meat in it, but at least five were just lumps of FAT, RUG and SINEW. When we were asked how dinner was, and honestly responded with a show and tell, the only comment was that they 'purchase from a local butcher'. So what? I'm sure the butcher also sells dog meat. Kalamunda has much better on offer. We know.
