aving wondered about this place everytime I walked past it, finally I decided to give it a go one day.. A few weeks ago, I managed to drag a friend along for lunch in the city, and Arirang seemed like a good idea..
Being a HUGE bulgogi fan, I never hesitated ordering it, and it was definitely not a let down, although I've had better (Not complaining =)).. We also ordered the seafood banquet, which was a variety of fresh mussels, prawn, marinated chilli squid (which I really liked!), and served with fresh lettuce, miso soup, kimchi and rice.. Within minutes of ordering the food was set in the table and we were salivating away in expecting our first taste.. The price wasn't too expensive, and definitely worth it..
The restaurants decor was simple, modern, comfy and not overdone.. Atmosphere was plain really, we were seated by the windows so you get the occasional passerby staring at you eating, other than that it was alright.. The service considerably good, but we were amazed at how fast the place filled up in lunch hour.. Fortunately, the staff seemed to be used to this and managed fairly well.. Being someone who really enjoys a good Korean BBQ, I would generally rate the food above average, although I'm uncertain if the other Arirang's might be different.. Will definitely be back for another meal soon enough to sample the other items on the menu, but I can safely say that future meals will not be disappointing..
