I
love it when I can go out in a group and everyone thoroughly enjoys their meal!
I went to Anna's last night for dinner in a group of seven. We all ordered a different meals from the regular and specials menu and we were so impressed that each was equally outstanding. It's a pretty tough call for a small restaurant to cope with an order like this. Our meals consisted of - Prawn and Crème fraîche Pizza, German Sausages with Sauerkraut & Rotkraut, Fish of the Day (snapper with spinach in a light cheese cream sauce), Duck of the Day (half a duck in balsamic and honey glaze with mash and veg), Scotch Fillet with Prawns (with a garlic cream sauce & mash) and Chateaubriand for two (which was incredibly tender!!). The dishes range in price from $17 to $27 which really is incredible value for the size and quality of the dishes.
Sadly, after garlic Turkish bread for entrée and big mains we didn't have room to even consider deserts.
The restaurant is bright and fresh. It's decorated with a selection of Helen Norton paintings which are for sale which made for interesting conversation as we proceeded to select our favourites.
Service is friendly and efficient. The owners run the restaurant which makes such a difference to the overall experience. A fantastic new restaurant, I only wish that I was a local so I could head back for dinner more often! For the moment Anna's is BYO which makes it even more of a rare gem. Recommended Dining!
