H aving visited the Alt Heidlberg previously and enjoying the food we made a group booking for a birthday expecting the same level of service and quality. We booked well in advance at least 3 weeks in fact. However when we arrived we found that they had split the tables up so that we weren't able to sit as one group and despite us requesting that they make an effort since they had not forewarned of us this at any stage they refused to accomodate us. So we spend the rest of the evening not able to socialise with the other dinner guests and were disapointed enough not to ever consider the restaurant again. Then they added that not only would they not accomodate us despite our booking but that we were an inconvenience to them on a busy night. Which was quite rude considering we had made it clear on numerous occasions that we were booking a table for 12. This rudeness spoilt what could have been a lovely evening.
