xcellent German restaurant located just outside Northbridge.
Hubby and I visited for our anniversary. Started with a chicken and egg soup, which was nice.
I had the Chicken and Mushroom Voulevant, which was nice. However the menu leans towards those that love meat (which I am not a big eater off). Hubby totally enjoyed his lamb, steak and german pork sausage grill with sauteed potatoes, vegies and sauteed mushrooms. He is not a mushroom eater, but loved them this time. I had trouble trying to steal them from him.
The german beers available take up 1/3 of the menu much to hubby's delight!
The highlight, the Apple Strudel for dessert. Served with icecream and a vanilla sauce, I would recommend you go just to try this delight.
Our waitress was very friendly and never kept us waiting, though the owner could smile a little more.
The restaurant is clean, very cosy, reminiscent of an old Europe.
I recommend this highly if you love meat and apple strudel and a romantic cosy night.
