A bsolutely chez Urchino is a great little cafe. Owner, Chef Osamu Urchino previously ran Chez Urchino. His food is top quality at very reasonable prices, also offering take away.Last time I dined there I enjoyed Chicken Teriaki Combo, which included Miso soup, Tempura and stirfried Vegetables and Rice. This was a generous serve and good value @ $9.00. One of my daughters had Tuna Sashimi which she thoroughly enjoyed, also good value @ $6.50. Just a few other dishes on the menu include, Nori Rolls,Nigiri Sushi, Tofu with Shiitake Mushroom sauce, Hot Udon Noodle soup, Escargots encased in Prawns sauteed in Garlic Butter, a verity of salads, Risotto, Confit of Duck, Tempura and a variety of Desserts. Osamu is happy to accommodate specific requests.

Quite possibly Perth's most affordable Japanese fusion, Chef Osamu presents a wonderful selection of dine-in, take-away, and lunchbox-style meals. We stock up on the healthy curries, miso chicken, etc. which are (amazingly) similarly priced to Lean Cuisine-type frozen meals, except Absolutely Chez Uchino's are fresh & taste great! Definitely a Claremont institution. | ||

This place is great. I often get the dirt cheap take away meals. The green curry is a favourite (quite fragrant) but even the desserts are good. | ||

I agree, they have an excellent selection of frozen and fresh takeaway meals that cost around $5. For about the same price as a lean cuisine I would definately pick Osamu's food!! Miso chicken is a favourite. | ||
