fter hearing good things about Two Fat Indians my friend and I decided to have dinner there on Tuesday night. The restaurant was very quiet until about 8pm when a few other tables were filled but there was also a steady flow of takeaway orders being picked up.
The food was lovely; we had Lamb Saagwalla and Chicken in Cashew Nut Paste, Garlic Naan and Saffron Rice to share. Both the dishes were very nice however the lamb was our favourite. It had just the right about of spice (mild – medium) and was beautiful lean yet tender meat. Delish!
The service was good, our water glasses were never empty and food arrived in a timely manner. Prices are reasonable (mains are about $20 - $24) and it’s BYO which makes it even more affordable. I can definitely recommend Two Fat Indians for a casual meal.

The lamb Rogan Josh is also a must-try, a very rich, velvety curry with strong aromas. We often get takeaway and it's a perfect Friday night dinner for two. Don't skip out on the garlic naan, it goes perfectly with the curry, particularly the chicken tikka masala and the lamb saagwalla. | ||
