My husband and I have eaten here a great deal and are ALWAYS pleased to have made the effort. The lamb shanks are delicious and the steak with blue cheese a smash hit. Sometimes a little noisy but great fun. Many people who go their are return clients because its hard to find a restaurant that is a "little piece of Europe". I thoroughly recommend trying the restaurant - shouldn't really do this because it will be harder for me to get a reservation. :: [original context] |
| 15-10-2007 : Tony : You are guaranteed some authentic Italian cuisine and service in this very lovely little restaurant. So much do the waiters make you feel at home, I feel a bit like I am part of a big extended family when I eat at Osteria. I think the menu is reasonably priced with pasta entrées $15 - $18, Mains averaging $22 - $30 and desert $6 - $10. Try the Capretto which is usually on the specials menu, it is melt in your mouth heaven. I’ve also tried the steak with blue cheese sauce and fish specials and can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed which what has arrived. The apple tart for desert or tiramisu are delish. The only thing that could disappoint is the fact that it is often fully booked and waiting times can sometimes blow out to have orders taken or meals arrive, but I believe this is a risk worth taking! :: [original context] |
