| 19-03-2007 : LJMfoods : This place is now called "K Bar/Cafe on Hay" and is part of the Comfort Inn. Awfully obnoxious staff (2); horribly noisy interior (1) and dull but edible food (4). 7/30 says it all. :: [original context] |
| 05-10-2005 : mollymac : great place, especially for some interesting beers and lots of mussels!! very relaxed and the staff are friendly.
wheelchair access is flat and good, with an accessible toilet. lots of bench seating, but room to move and gain easy access to tables. :: [original context] |
| 30-07-2005 : atel1 : I recently dined in this restaurant, which i have been informed has changed management in the last three months.
When asking about the Kilo menu, we were informed that it has now changed names and that the new menus reflected a more cafe style of service and after dining there with a group of 8 ppl i can only agree.
The service was flawless and the wait staff were very attentive to our tables needs......the floor manager looked very in control of the very busy cafe and was able to direct the staff.
The open kitchen provided entertainment for our group, and other diners with pans flaming and the chefs enjoying their work.
The food was good and what we were expecting, the chicken dish was a little small, but the wait staff had informed us we may need a side salad to accompany it,we had this and the meals were filling enough,we even had room for DESSERT!!!!!
We had the fondue (4 servings between us) to finish and it was a great way to finish a great evening.
Well done to the new management team, the wait staff and head chef for a great meal and atmosphere.
We will return very soon , and can reccommend the Cafe to anyone!!!!
PS: Not a 16yr old waitress in sight!! :: [original context] |
| 14-08-2004 : Karrie : We've been to Kilo twice now and take exception to your flattering review. We've actually thought the name 'Kilo' a tad ironic. Our serves were particularly small (chicken caesar with 2 lettuce leaves, 8 tiny chilli mussels a serve). Beers are great but the pint size leaves a bit to be desired, barely bigger than a water glass! Service left a bit to be desired in our case, why must this restaurant always employ 16 year old wait people with ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE. To all my fellow East Perth residents, definitely not worth the effort! :: [original context] |
