22-05-2011 : D&S : Kelly's is an oasis in Canningvale. A fantastic way to while away a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, or to have a great start to the day with their terrific breakfasts. The menu is certainly comprehensiv...[more]
16-10-2005 : Teresa : My husband and I went to Kelly's for Sunday lunch after hearing about it from several people and also reading the rather generous review on this site. The menu was small but covered most requiremen...[more]
21-03-2005 : Rod Archibald : Without any definite plans (or booking) my wife and I recently happened on a new place to experience fine dining in a quality environment with a pleasant ambience. On Friday evening, 18 March 2005, w...[more]

10-11-2011 : Lulu : We went to Kellys to try out the Wednesday roast and won't be back again! My husband had the beef and it was raw in the middle and although my meat was nice all of the "packet" vegetables were undercooked and cold. We had to get up and ask for water only to be told we have to get it ourselves and we had to open our own bottle of wine ( thank goodness they are screw tops now) and ask for glasses, it reminded me of going to a family barbecue not a restaurant.I don't think we got value for money with the meal or great service either ,very disappointed. :: [original context]
22-05-2011 : D&S : I find Ericcitzen's comment about Mother's day very difficult to understand,we were there that day and had a fantastic time. We did have to wait awhile as there were in excess of 200 people dinning and were encouraged to have a wander around the wonderful gardens and gift shop. Their very cheap BYO policy means you can sit back with a bottle of wine and relax. We found the young staff to be very friendly and efficient. If Mr E had a bad day, it is unfourtunate, but I suggest the moderators look at people being abusive on posts. :: [original context]
08-05-2011 : Ericcitizen : Sat here on mothers day with a table booked for a while. Spent 1hr30mins waiting for a simple chicken ceasar. Never be back here every again. Young waiters with no idea. Thanks for making my mum wait bunch of jerks. :: [original context]
05-01-2009 : cross : I just read the main review on Kelly's. I cant believe his reaction to Tony (something dodgy going on) Tony you are not out of order at all to be asking those questions. This isnt a website to be writing some kind of poetry crap telling us about your life story. :) :: [original context]
04-01-2009 : RJU : We have been to Kelly's often for lunch, breakfast and afternoon tea but never dinner. We have always found the food and service to be good, with a good selection and nice freshly cooked meals. However we were going to try the dinner menu and after ringing find that they are not open 3 days a week for Dinner as they only open friday and Saturday night and not Sundays as suggested in your site. Regards . :: [original context]
29-04-2005 : Tony : Very defensive, but I guess I was being a bit cheeky. It has taken me so long to reply because I was hoping to try Kelly's before posting so I could give you my opinion of the place. But I have been unable to get to Canning Vale for a meal yet. I know you were trying to impart to our readers the experience at Kelly’s but you forgot to mention the details of the food. The site is focussed heavily around the actual food that you are served at the establishment. I don’t care what anybody says, it is the most important thing. Take some time to read my reviews of some establishments, I believe I also impart the experience I had, but I also manage to mention the food. And no I don’t run a competing establishment, I am the creator and administrator of this web site, you can see my name at the bottom of each page. The reason I generally ask questions after suspicious reviews, is to highlight to people that the owner themselves may be submitting the review. Or perhaps not the owner, but someone very biased towards the establishment. The tell tale sign is usually mentioning every single item on the menu, or forgetting to mention any food at all… Cheer up, if I didn’t like your review I would have deleted it. :: [original context]
10-04-2005 : rarchib : In response to Tony's inane questions...... (I really don't know why I am bothering), My "Review" comments were intended to impart to readers that the experience at Kelly's Cafe was special and one to be remembered. Nothing more, nothing less. It is now up to others to perhaps take on board those comments and try "Kelly's Cafe/Restaurant" for themselves. If they (or you) choose not to, then that will be their/your loss. Your questions do not warrant any further response. It may well be that "Tony" operates a dining establishment in the same area and if that is the case my message is....make sure you are providing your customers with the very best or "Kelly's" will simply kick your butt !!!!! :: [original context]
24-03-2005 : Tony : But what about the food? What did you order? How do you know the food was 'superb in preparation' did they let you in the kitchen? :: [original context]
