| 26-02-2007 : Tweedle : We are Guildford locals and decided to eat out one Friday night so walked to K(r)appys where the waitress looked us up and down (we were in neat/clean jeans and blouses/shirts)and advised that they did not have a table for us. We looked around at an empty restaurant (save for one couple trying hard to appear not to be listening to us) and asked if all the tables were booked. The waitress made a show of looking us up and down again and explained that she thought we might be more comfortable elsewhere. I was shocked, I am 48 and my husband is 54, we are hardly going to behave like hooligans. I am most used to eating out and we were clean and tidy. Let's face it the place does take away izza for goodness sake! Never ever again. We went to Padbury's down the road for a lovely meal with terrific service. :: [original context] |

Maybe Kappy's (or should that be Krappy's) are not aware of such websites as this one and the power of a bad review! | 26-01-2005 : Lisa : I have been to Kappy's twice and found their service poor, their food ordinary and their prices a little over the top for basic italian fare. It certainly takes an age to receive the meals and the wait staff seem to avoid seeing the patrons when service is needed. I wouldn't go back there, there are much better places around (such as Terrace 105 up the road). :: [original context] |

Actually, we've had a rather average experience there as well - even without taking our young children!
For a restaurant that does like kids, try Rifo's in Maylands - they even provide a toy box and will book your table next to it, if you ask.!! :: [original context] |
