| 18-04-2010 : dianehalliday1106 : Went on a busy Saturday night to the new premises in Carlisle. Had to wait in a queue for a table despite having a booking. Had veal scallopine and spaghetti marinara. Both were OK. The patrons are ab...[more] |
| 23-08-2009 : RedApple : Food:
The food was hearty, and came out relatively fast. I had the Alfonso (fettucine with spinach, mushrooms and asparagus in a creamy sauce) which was rich and flavoursome. Serving was generous. Go...[more] |
| 12-11-2008 : yamchi : This restaurant is terrible. They literally are trying to scam their customers. I just had dinner with my girlfriend there. I ordered Tortellini Carbonara and my girlfriend ordered Chilli Mussells. I ...[more] |
| 31-03-2006 : phantom : Top stuff!
I live local in the area so I am a touch biased...but, I get a takeaway from there every week (I'm a busy chef who eats on the run) as the food is great, value for $$ and consistent. The...[more] |

| 25-10-2005 : Angela : Cafe Bella Rosa has such a super location that it makes little difference what the food actually tastes like.
It's certainly not about the food.
The good part is you get a cheap meal and the se...[more] |
| 08-02-2004 : Veronika and Darryl : Dining out nowdays has become about so much more than the meal but in the end its a relief to find a cafe/resturant that gets your food to you in five to ten minutes at the most. Bella Rosa Cafe in vi...[more] |

| 18-04-2010 : dianehalliday1106 : I agree. Average food and poor service. The woman manager is rude and they have the gall to put an $8.50 bottle of water on everyone's table when they arrive without request. A total scam. BEWARE. :: [original context] |
| 12-09-2009 : Stewart : I have been here and would never go back there we were a group booking and we had not room to move it was so noisy, our chairs touched the ones behind us we were like sardines. It was so busy but once bitten never again. :: [original context] |
| 16-11-2008 : chimera : I have to agree, I came here to eat sometime ago and it just wasn't the best experience.. I don't remember much about the pricing except that it just wasn't worth it; service was horrible and the manager (if it's still the same one) was one very rude woman..
Just as bad as Christina's somewhere along the same stretch of shops.. A dining experience I really wanted to forget.. :: [original context] |
| 15-07-2006 : MOJAC : I have eaten the full breakfast and it is hearty, tasty - a huge serving. However, it was one cold night and very busy, we waited for someone to seat us at a table. I followed the waitress back to the kitchen, she was returning the plates to the kitchen as one of the customer's made a complaint. I was shocked to see the filthy state of the kitchen - food all over the benches and smashed into the tiles all over the floor. The
waitress and the chef did not see me - but I saw them. He used his fingers (no gloves used), and threw some chips from a basket into the customer's plate. This put me right off, I spoke to my partner and we left. I always look at the state of a restaurant's kitchen. If it is relatively clean I will eat there, however it is filthy and I see staff touching the food with their fingers, I will never ever dine there. All restaurant staff should adhere to HACCP regulations and have a hairnet, cap and use gloves when handling food and foodstuffs. :: [original context] |
| 29-01-2005 : bec powell : I was recommended Cafe Bella Rosa and have now been the twice, I found the initial service quite quick but after that they are lacking. You are constantly searching for a replacement of drinks, the waitresses avoid eye contact and various staff members have obviously not been trained in customer service.
I ordered the warm chicken ceaser salad without anchovies and a quarter of the way through my meal i discover anchovies
when I finally found a staff member, my meal was taken away and 7 minutes later I was told the anchovies would have been on top and did I enjoy it anyway.
Never would we go to Cafe Bella Rosa again, although we enjoyed the food the service, and customer priority is only a 1 out of 10. :: [original context] |
