06-10-2011 : sophie : Very disappointing. Lots of wait staff around, we had a table of 20...and 1 waiter to attend us. Other waiters standing around doing nothing, and when I asked one of them for a wine she said I had to get it from our waiter who was clearly busy serving our large group. Then during meals our water ran out numerous times and there was no one to be found to give us more. Food was average. To end the day one person was unable to conquer the long elevator ride down, so she walked down the stairs and then couldn't get out at the bottom, as it was locked. So had to walk up again. Oh and the fire alarm kept going off during our meal and the staff all looked concerned but told us not to worry. :: [original context]
01-09-2008 : Victoria D : Have been many times and love the place. Great food and service however very expensive. You don't get out with a bill under $250 ever for two people :: [original context]
06-06-2008 : combisteam : Im English and have lived in perth for 10 years, I am from the hospitality industry 10 years in England and 10 years in Australia. Firstly I do apoligise for my English brother as he obviously did not get his dessert from his partner after leaving the restaurant, anyone who has watched Ramseys nightmares maybe think the restaurants are set up to be bad...there not!! english restaurants are expensive poorly staffed and have no idea about customer service. I feel for the C restaurant and others like it who have to cop every Joe blows view on there work. I am lucky to be out of serving the general public. why would you want to work long ours weekends and have to put up with ignorant losers like this guy..... :: [original context]
18-02-2008 : nicole : I hate to agree with someone who dares hint that Perth isn't a great city... but C Restaurant is a real disappointment. I guess worth going there for cocktails just to see the view. :: [original context]
23-11-2005 : Josie : I've also heard a lot of mixed reviews about C, which is a real pity, because it does look like a lovely place. Might pop in one night for a cocktail or something, experience the vibe and the view without spending the big bucks. :: [original context]
22-11-2005 : Tony : Sounds quite bad, there have been a lot of negative reviews of C over the years. I wonder if they are going to change their ways and become consistiently good. :: [original context]
14-09-2005 : Amanada : C is for crapola! Made a booking and requested a ring-side seat for the window - may as well not have bothered. Menu was uninspiring at best, and sadly the food lived up to this standard as well. A shame, because you are paying through the nose for it. The service was non-existent to very poor, and to add insult to injury there was a magician wandering the restaurant (presumably to distract your attention from the fact that you were paying a lot of money for some very average fare). I will not be going back, unless someone pays me a lot of money to do so. :: [original context]
07-03-2005 : Dono : I've been to 'C' in the past with overseas guests and was very happy. Went there early March 2005 and it was a shocker. From the moment we arrived it went downhill. Moderately pricey cocktails made with room temperature ingredients out of old plastic bottles sitting on the bar. This was a Saturday night and they had a television going in the cocktail lounge, no joking, a TV for christ sake! Toilets dirty, greasy fingerprints and chipped paint on the walls and doors. Food OK, but nothing to write home about. I could get better everything (except views) for a third of the price at my local pub. I had two surcharges added to my $700 bill as well just to add insult to injury. A blatant rip-off preying on the unwary tourist. Stay away. :: [original context]
07-01-2005 : Julie : My last visit to C was not the best. I had been there a few times and service had been good. Revisited in November 2004 and drink and food service were appauling. It was not busy (a Wednesday) night.... I was not only disappointed but also my international business guests were also bitterly disappointed as they had heard about C. :: [original context]
05-01-2005 : Sarah : I have been to C many times and I agree that the service leaves much to be desired but you cannot beat that view especially when showing visitors to Perth the sights :: [original context]
13-12-2004 : tara : i agree i was a waitress there you got no training and were just expected to know everything especially silver service. there is no one in there. I wouldnt recomend it either :: [original context]
15-07-2004 : Louise : I was taken to C for my birthday and loved every minute of it, what a romantic place. The view was amazing and the Beef Medallions melted in my mouth. The Duck was fantastic - a great portion size as well although my other half was not too satisfied with his portion (Tiger Prawns). The wine list was good and a mix of people there. Although a very sophiticated restaurant everyone was made to feel welcome. The Friday night magician is a definite must - he was great! :: [original context]
21-06-2004 : kenny : the view was terrific.. it was a very sensational and romantic dinner for 2 persons..!! :: [original context]
23-05-2004 : sara : The gnocchi is undoubtably the most amazing taste sensation- orgasmic even. Gentlemen beware, the ladies won't be needing you after consuming this dish... :: [original context]
21-05-2004 : Tony Routledge : Terrible service. Would pay to bring your own esky. The food was good once it actually arrived!!! :: [original context]
